    Minutes of the meeting of

    Youghal Sailing Club

    7.30pm, 9th February 2015

Attendees: Patrick Buttimer, Finbarr Buckley, Joan Coyne, Martin Finn, Larry Lee  Juniors: Finn O'Brien, Edward Coyne, Jack Buttimer, Shane Buckley, Adrian Lee, Jack Nolan, Bob White

    Apologies: Catriona and Padraig Hennessey

PB: Reminded all that sub of €2 were due from all. Paid to FB

PB: Quickly updated that Aghada boatyard had just given away 3 abandoned boats, all members to think of other places where these might be found.

PB announced that Tony Lawlor is joining the club to help with organising club events and trips.

JC updated the meeting we have our flag day licence for this Saturday. JC and FB to ensure that licence is completed and all in order. So we now have two days of actions to arrange. School member drive on Friday and flag day on Saturday.

PB has arranged for printed Tshirts for all collectors and at school event.

FB to confirm details with headmaster but expect place Feva in school Thursday evening. Then Friday morning need to man the boat from 8.15 until just before lunchtime.

FB and MF agreed to be on hand for 8.15 for busiest time. Jack has agreed to be there until the end. Agreed that 1 adult should be on hand at all times as well as junior members who can be there (within their school timetable).

Everyone who is representing the Club should be wearing a Tshirt or otherwise be clearly identifiable. AND have read the small flyer which says what the club is for and what we'll offer. If you are asked something that you are unsure of don't make it up, ask!

PB/FB arranging printing of flyers and A4 poster and stickers

MF to design an A4 poster

For flagday, FB to check if we can be at Tesco. Although our greatest challenge will most likely be collectors. Agreed that must be a minimum of two junior members or 1 adult at any collection point at any time.

Likely collection points are: Amber, Centra, Credit Union (10-12), Outside Rivergate mall (or flower shop as its Valentine's day), Supervalu, Tesco and Lidl

LL to get some collection buckets

SB to publicise on CRY on his show and see if it can be announced on other shows too.

All members to FaceBook message their availability. Roster will be drawn up Thursday evening.

Probably a quick meeting on Thursday - maybe just after setup at school

FB updated the meeting that we have been offered the downstairs at Clancy's for future Thursday meetings. Everyone happy with that offer.

    The meeting was closed.

Next meeting (probably) 7.30pm next Thursday at Clancy's.
